Self Love pt.2: Keep on keeping on
When I first started pole dancing years ago, I never imagined that I would be a part of such an incredible, love-filled community and make the friends that I have. I also never expected that we would end up in a situation like the one we are in now. Studios are closing around the country as we collectively try to protect ourselves and others from the virus that shall not be named. While it feels like everything is going awry, it's important that we practice self care. To that end, I'm sharing some resources that I've found over the past couple of weeks by some generous businesses.
Down Dog is making all of their apps free until April 1st. These include Yoga, Yoga for Beginners, HIIT, Barre, and 7 Minute Workout.
Scribd is making their entire library free for the 30 days to anyone. This means you can access ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more. See their website for more details.
Headspace is sharing some of their meditation, sleep, and movement exercises for free.
During this time, while your pole studios are closed, they may also be offering online classes. Check in with them to see how you can support them through the closures. Also check in with each other, including your pole communities, to make sure everyone is doing okay. We'll get through this together and come out stronger on the other side.
